Selling internationally

Know the costs of selling abroad.

We help set up international shipping in Shopify, starting with a review of delivery options, import costs and returns.

01

Markets and checkout

Configure Shopify markets, currencies and customer information for the countries you choose to sell in.

02

Shipping and delivery

Compare shipping options, costs and delivery estimates, then configure the agreed options in your store.

03

Duties and import charges

Identify the import-cost questions to resolve, who would pay those charges and what customers need to know before ordering.

04

Returns and margins

Work through the cost of fulfilling and returning an order, then assess what would be left after those costs.

How we work

We review specific products and destinations. If the costs do not support expansion, we say so. Customs and tax questions that need a specialist are identified before you proceed.

Common questions

Can you help us sell outside Canada?

Yes. We can review your Shopify setup, shipping, import costs and returns for the markets you are considering. The review can focus on one country.

Can you tell us what tariffs we will pay?

We identify the information needed to assess import costs, including the products, their origin and the destination. Product-specific customs and tax determinations should be confirmed with the appropriate specialist.

What if international selling is too expensive?

That is a useful finding. We can recommend holding off, reviewing different products or considering another market. Expanding internationally is not a requirement for working with us.
